Rides to workshops for people with disabilities
PrimaFahrten provides planned, recurring rides between home and a workshop for people with disabilities in Berlin. In Germany, these facilities are known as a Werkstatt für behinderte Menschen (WfbM). Rides are requested through our school and work transport service.
Who is the workshop transport service suitable for?
You can request this service when a person needs support with regular journeys to a workshop. PrimaFahrten checks each request using the information provided about the passenger, any wheelchair or other mobility aid, building access and times.

Describe pickup points, attendance days, times and mobility aids together.
What is needed for regular planning
- Home and workshop addresses, including entrances and pickup points
- Attendance days, desired pickup and return times, and the requested period
- Wheelchair, walking aid or other mobility requirements
- Stairs, floors, elevator and access to the vehicle
- Contact channels for appointment changes
- Requested accompanying person or other organisational details
If the passenger remains in a wheelchair during the ride, provide the wheelchair type, dimensions and other details required for wheelchair transport. If stairs need to be managed, add the stair-chair service to the request.
Pickup, outbound ride and return
The return ride is planned together with the outbound ride. Describe the pickup point, arrival arrangement and known time changes in advance. PrimaFahrten will check and confirm which arrangement is possible for the specific request; staffing and assistance cannot be agreed as a general service promise.
Costs and responsible payers
Funding for workshop rides depends on the individual participation case and the responsible payer. PrimaFahrten cannot guarantee cost coverage. Before arranging regular rides, passengers or their representatives should clarify responsibility and required documents with the facility and payer. Holidays, closure days and changed appointments should be included in the ongoing coordination.

You can request workshop rides from all twelve Berlin districts. Because the home and workshop may be in different districts, the actual route and access conditions are considered individually.
