Recurring journeys to school and work

PrimaFahrten accepts requests for school and work rides in Berlin. Both journey types require fixed pickup points, a weekly schedule, mobility requirements and dependable contact details for changes. For regularly recurring rides, a familiar driver can be considered where operationally possible. However, we cannot guarantee a fixed driver assignment in every case.

Weekly schedule and changes

A complete weekly schedule is the basis for our review. Give the home and destination addresses, weekdays, start and end times and any known deviations. Changes to days, times or pickup points should be reported as early as possible and count as confirmed only after coordination.

For minors or passengers in care, name the responsible organisational contacts. Specific supervision or handover duties are agreed individually and are not promised across the board. Holidays, days off and new meeting points belong in the coordination early on.

Mobility and access

Give wheelchair, walking aid or other mobility requirements in the request. Describe the floor, lift, stairs and the route to the vehicle. For a ride in a wheelchair, see wheelchair transport; for stairs, the stair-chair service can be considered. If a companion is to travel along, tell us in advance. Whether they can join is clarified for the specific ride.

Costs

Who bears the costs of a school or work ride depends on individual arrangements and the responsible cost carrier. In Berlin, the school office usually pays for school journeys of children with special educational needs; for rides to work and participation, integration assistance or the Federal Employment Agency may be options.

School and work rides can be requested from all twelve Berlin districts. Journeys across districts are also possible; the actual addresses, times and mobility conditions are what matter.

For school journeys of children with special educational needs, the school office is usually responsible in Berlin; there is no legal entitlement. For work and participation it depends on the individual case. The cost carrier always makes the decision.
